The new date for the EURO Experience Tour stop in Salzburg has been fixed. After the accident with the tour tent in April the tour will take place during the Salzburg Dult from May 10 until May 15, 2008 at the fair grounds of the City of Salzburg.

June 6, 2008 the Greek House next to the Europark in Salzburg will be opened. Actually it will be no house but a camp with the Greek headquarter a centre of information and a stage.

The Greek House will be a place where fans and interessted people can come together to experience the UEFA EURO 2008 and the Greek culture. There will be interviews with players, Greek music and folklore.

The powerful local scene

The Host City Salzburg will fully rely on its powerful local scene. There will be no appearances by pop icons such as Elton John but the local potential on artists will be fully exploited in the course of the social program for the UEFA EURO 2008TM.

The EURO 2008 will open each day in Salzburg with Big Papa, a water fountain shooting 50 meters high, between the Makart and Mülln Bridges.

The opening festivities “Servus Europa - fans will be friends” in the Fan Zone (Sat., June 7, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.) will offer a mix of pop music, folk culture, classical music and video art.

After the tour tent ran out of air and the engineers detected a grave bug, the EURO Experience Tour in Salzburg had to be postponed. The new date for the event has not been announced so far.

EURO Experience Tour comes to Austria. April 10 until April 16, 2008 the tour stops at Salzburg. The inflatable tour tent will be pitched at Chapter place. Visitors may watch the highlights of the last twelve editions of UEFA EURO at the multimedia cinema, take a photo of themeselves next to the Henri-Delauny European Championship trophy or play a game at the interactive zone where 2 x 2 UEFA EURO tickets can be won.
