EURO Experience Tour comes to Austria. April 10 until April 16, 2008 the tour stops at Salzburg. The inflatable tour tent will be pitched at Chapter place. Visitors may watch the highlights of the last twelve editions of UEFA EURO at the multimedia cinema, take a photo of themeselves next to the Henri-Delauny European Championship trophy or play a game at the interactive zone where 2 x 2 UEFA EURO tickets can be won.

EURO 2008 smoke-free

In Great Britain the mother country of soccer smoke-free stadiums are already standard. Fans who are smoking during a match even have to pay a penalty and repeater may be sent off.

During UEFA EURO 2008 it is different. Fans may smoke uncontrolled on the tribune, only trainers and tutors have to disclaim. UEFA as host would have had the possibility to prohibit smoking during EURO 2008 but has chosen the more liberal version.

Tip: Smokers should carry some cigarettes with them because tobaccos won’t be sold at the stadiums.

Automated parking guidance system

In time before UEFA EURO 2008 kick-off the last stage of extension of the automated parking guidance system in Salzburg will be completed. After completion the latest occupancy of 7.000 parking spaces at six garages and car parks will be displayed on 35 displays at 17 locations in the city of Salzburg.

However during EURO 2008 it is recommended leaving the car at a park and ride on the outskirts of the city and going by bus to the centre…

Mountain Village European Championship

A few days before UEFA EURO 2008 kick-off June 7th the mountain village Gspon in swiss canton Wallis arranges its own Mountain Village European Championship from May 23rd until May 25th, 2008. Eight teams from eight nations will play against on a sea level of more than 2.000 metres.

The teams come from Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy France and the Netherlands and have to consist of licenced players who play in the 7th highest league in the respected country.
