Yesterday the City of Salzburg, as the first of the eight Host Cities, signed a sponsorship deal with a top sponsor for the UEFA Euro 2008TM. Franz van der Heijden, General Manager of the Coca-Cola UEFA Euro 2008TM project team, sealed the agreement with Mayor Heinz Schaden in the presence of the Host City Coordinator, Wolfgang Weiss.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed but one thing is clear, Hohensalzburg Fortress will not appear in the Coca-Cola branding…

At the subsequent press conference Coca-Cola announced it would also have a children’s flag bearer program. Details on the procedure and applications will be available on Coca-Cola’s website shortly.
